The Hero your Board needs

In order to make good, data-driven decisions school leaders and governing bodies require quality, accurate and consistent data. This can lead to increased workload for teachers as they gather and record data in multiple places. Hero is designed to minimise teacher workload, whilst also providing high quality, consistent data that makes a difference.

Better data = better decisions

Hero is built to be flexible and to reflect the curriculum, vision and values of the school so that the focus for teachers is on individual students and their progress. This means that creating data is part of teaching and planning rather than a separate task. Best fit algorithms, data tracking tools and powerful tagging options help teachers to share learning without having to double handle or duplicate data.

Designed in cohort with educators

Hero provides a range of analysis tools that are gathered together under ‘insights’ for any group. These have been designed by working closely with teachers, governing bodies and school leaders with the aim of removing the need to extract data into other tools for analysis.

Data is easy to access, very easy to share and report to the staff and Board of Trustees. Even easier to send to the Ministry of Education.

Key Features:

Automatic grouping

Grouping of students is automatic in Hero! Schools can use templated auto groups or build their own so that data analysis and planning is as easy as possible. Hero uses live updating to keep all of your groups accurate, as the data is changed by the school, auto groups are automatically updated so you don't need to worry about manual updates!

Post and Tag Analysis

Templated or custom tags, set by the school, can be used to tag student or teacher content so that the school leadership can analyse the data, identify patterns and plan next steps. Tags can be used for tracking support programmes, curriculum, behaviour or indeed anything that the school desires. Analysis can be done at any group including whole school level and can be segmented and scrutinised by date, ethnicity, gender and groupings.

Insights

Whether it is a group of 3 students or the whole school, all groups in Hero include the powerful insights page. Insights include analysis of demographics, content, tags, assessments, progress and attendance. Insights are designed as the starting point for making data driven decisions that make a difference.

Customised data collection points

Each school can build their own set of key milestones, aligned to their own curriculum. Once set, these milestones can be matched to expectations by the school. Hero provides a set of pre loaded milestones and expectations for the UK, Australian and New Zealand curriculums and we are adding more!
