Creating software that delights people

Hero is a unique application for schools that is simple, secure and stylish. The Hero platform was designed as a tool for teachers to share and track learning. Teachers, students and parents can be involved in sharing learning stories, and formal reporting is available online, real time.

Hero is a complete communication solution that is wrapped in a modern, fully cloud-based, Student Management System (SMS) approved by the New Zealand Ministry of Education. The Hero SMS platform is a fully-featured, world class product that includes online enrolment processing, smart attendance flows, and pupil billing package with Xero integration.

  • Highly networked and a relationship builder.

  • Stays abreast of educational trends and best practice.


Key tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive heroic growth by heading up business development and sales.

  • Manage and refine the sales process and use success metrics to report to the executive team.

  • Lead consulting team members that contribute to the sales process.

  • Identify opportunities to grow and promote the business.

  • Take an active role in direct sales, through delivering presentations (online and in person) to prospective client schools.

  • Provide opportunities for new and prospective client schools to connect, learn and share both online and in person eg) user groups, individual and group sessions.


  • Act as a Hero ambassador and take a leadership role at conferences, principals’ groups, panel discussions and other appropriate forums.

  • Contribute to the creation of marketing content and resources for prospective Hero schools. client schools. For example: website content, case studies, webinars.

  • Support the ongoing design and refinement of the Hero Partner School Programme.


A deep understanding of the education sector is key and Hero experience advantageous.

Location:

Auckland preferred - The ability to travel regularly is essential.

This role is likely to be remote from Hero HQ. The Hero Community Connector will need to work independently and will be reliable and trustworthy.

Key tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Business development - deliver presentations (online and in person) for prospective client schools focusing on the SMS features of the software (school office administration and billing functions).

  • Onboarding - provide effective support for school office administrators throughout the onboarding stage of their journey.

  • Provide consulting services and ongoing training to enable administrators to maximise their use of Hero (SMS) both online and in person eg) webinars, workshops, individual and group sessions.

  • Contribute to the creation of content and resources to support client schools.

Experience in the school environment (office administration/IT) and Hero expertise is advantageous.


Location:

Christchurch (must be able to travel).
